Finalizing Moments

She waited pacing from one side of the room to the other. The feathers in her hand were growing heavy, she waited two hours. She had known they were falling apart, his late hours at the office, his mysterious phone calls, his lessen passion.
Several tears and advice tips from ever gossiping friends later- she decide a night of romance was in order. Finding the most seductive and rich laces, diamonds and perfumes, she stood in their bedroom alone, waiting. The room smelled of romance, the candles oozed from time, her heavy fragrance lingered, and her brown curls fallen flat.
The clock ticked slowly, but not slow enough as the darkness became darker. Her fresh make up was ruined with tears, throwing the feather fann into the trash, she slipped on the plaid night gown. Crawling into bed the door slammed shut. He was home. Tomorrow she would be gone.
