It didnt take long til she was in his arms. As soon as he came through thoose large mahogany carved doors, her feet couldnt carry her fast enough.
"Chris" he whispered circling his arms around her thin waist.
"How long?" softly asking.
" Not long a few hours at most, God I missed you" he whispered into her ear, allowing the intoxicating fragrance of her hair to remind him to capture every moment, every touch, every kiss, every smell and taste and sound. She had the most intense blue eyes, the kind of eyes that were soo hard not to surrender too. It took him months to finally allow her to capture his heart, and now that she did, his life rejected her. The Blood that stained his hands, how could they allow something so beautiful in them? How could he put her life at risk, he didnt have a choice, without eachothers presense they were rendered lifeless.
"It will be over tonight my Love, I swear after tonight.."he barley uttered when his lips captured hers , her body pressing into him, his hands unable to maintain control. His lips found her tempel, her neck, slower then faster.
"Chris" Pressing her fingers to his hungry lips she softly found his lips with her own.
"Dont Hold back"she said taking his hand in hers and leading him to through her bedroom doors.
Once inside her private chambers his lips devoured her hands, her face her neck.
"JT ..theres someone watching us through the windows" she whispered, her body tense with fear.
His hands slide closer around her waist "Don't look directly at him Chris. Tell me what they look like."
"Brown trench coat, gun, hat, mustache."
"Shit, Chris, on my side is my gun, if I reach for it in this state, he will shoot. Take the gun and aim through my jacket, shoot the glass, and run for the door." he whispered pulling her tight and continuing he said " just like at the fair, point and shoot."
The glass shattered sending the spy for cover and the couple toward the door. Shots echoed through the great hall as they ran through the massive house. Footsteps thundered behind them as they weaved in and out of rooms slamming them shut behind them. Swinging around the corners toward the four car garage, JT gripped Chris's delicate arm and pulled her with him against the wall of the garage. Many things could happen once he opened that door, and he knew gunman could be waiting for them at their escape. Pressing his ear to the smooth surface of the cold door he placed his hand on the knob. He didnt have much time, even though he locked a few doors on their pathway to the garage.
He did not need to tell her he loved her, she knew , she always knew. She was calm despite the situation, even knowing what this meant she never broke into nervous fear. Kissing her on the forehead, he pushed her behind him and opened the door, and slowly crept toward the Chevy Belair.
"Should have kept moving JT, never should have came here. Getting soft on me?" A man said in a dark leather coat. His hands covered in matching gloves, pointing the steel weapon at the pair.
" Let her go Smith, she has nothing to do with this" JT said his hands extending.
"You were never the target JT, not now atleast, she was. They say behind every good man is a good woman. You were never a good man, but thats beside the point. This pretty dame here, shes your weakness JT. You have never feared anything like what you fear right now."
Two shots were heard echoing through the garage. JT never missed, tonight was no different, the Smith's body slumped to the ground, blood pooling beneath him.
"Get in the car Chris, we have to get out of here."
"JT"
This time JT wasnt fast enough, and Chris slumped forward into his arms. Her blood covering his hands. Her voice cracked " I always knew the consquiences.. I always knew.. but.. I ...didn...care...One,, one moment with you...I... I ...Lived..." She choked, her face growing pale.
"shhh shhh, Chris it will be ok, Im going to take you to the hospital, the doc will fix you up..shh dont talk like that..."
There was so much blood and applying pressure wasnt helping, sweeping her in his arms he headed to the car.
"JT..I...Lo...be a ..good man,,JT" she choked, her hand resting on his face. Thoose eyes, her eyes, the once intense blue had hazed over and her body that had been shaken grew still. Her hand fell from his face, and then he knew.Falling to his knees the once strongest Hitman in the world had been reduced to the whimpers of a child. In his arms lay the one person he forced from his heart, the one person whom he couldnt shake attachment too.
He never told her he loved her, she knew...she always knew...
"It was supposed to end tonight..."
